I'm Dani Wallace, and I know what it's like to be locked out of rooms.
I grew up on a council estate in Preston. Survived domestic abuse. Went through homelessness as a single mum of two. Had my house repossessed during the recession.

What I had was a voice, a stage, and an absolute refusal to accept that success was for other people.
So I built something anyway. I mean, I'd been in a pretty bad place, so what could go wrong, eh?
